Food Allergy Policy
Your safety at the table matters as much as the flavour on the plate. Here is how we handle allergens in our kitchen and what we ask of you.
Download Our Allergen ChartTell us about your allergy
If you or anyone in your party has a food allergy or intolerance, please tell us before you order — every time, even if you have dined with us before, because recipes and ingredients can change. You can mention it in the notes when booking a table, add it to your online order, or simply speak to a member of our team.
The 14 major allergens
Our kitchen handles ingredients that include the 14 allergens regulated in the UK:
- Celery
- Cereals containing gluten (such as wheat, barley and oats)
- Crustaceans
- Eggs
- Fish
- Lupin
- Milk
- Molluscs
- Mustard
- Nuts (tree nuts such as almonds, walnuts and pistachios)
- Peanuts
- Sesame seeds
- Soya
- Sulphur dioxide and sulphites
Allergen information for our dishes
Our team can tell you which of the 14 allergens are used as ingredients in any dish on our menu. Just ask when booking, when you arrive, or when ordering. Because our menu is cooked fresh from scratch, many dishes can be adapted — please ask and we will do our best.
A note on cross-contamination
Our kitchen is a single working kitchen where allergens are handled every day. Although we take great care — clean preparation areas, fresh utensils and careful handling — we cannot guarantee that any dish is completely free from traces of an allergen. If your allergy is severe, please make this clear to our team so we can advise you honestly about what is safe to order.
Online and takeaway orders
When ordering online, please add your allergy details to the order notes and, for severe allergies, call us as well so we can confirm your requirements directly with the kitchen.
